The Mid-South
Chapter is currently in the process of creating a community
council in Little Rock, AR.
Once the council is established committee members will be responsible
for determining events that will be conducive as well as successful
in the Little Rock area.
Some events that have been held to support the American Liver
Foundation mission are as follows:
Salute
to Excellence Gala
A black tie
event held to honor someone from the medical, corporate and patient
communities who have made significant contributions in the area.
The gala features a first class silent and live auction which
includes wonderful themed packages with something in mind for
everyone
Flavors
The community’s
top chefs come together to prepare an extraordinary five-course
meal. This event includes a silent and/or live auction.
Walk
for Research
An annual
walk for research brings the American Liver Foundation steps away
from conquering liver disease. Our team members span every walk
of life and a wide range of athletic abilities. Our walkers are
teachers, bankers, students, moms, dads, grandparents. Most importantly
they are generous and dedicated individuals who act not just as
fundraisers and athletes, but as ambassadors for the American
Liver Foundation. Their hard work funds hope for adults and children
afflicted with liver disease.
ALF
Pledge Golf Tournament
The event
is an eighteen-hole golf tournament held at a premier course with
a scramble format. This event rewards golfers for their fund raising
efforts. Golfers are asked to have friends, family and business
contacts to sponsor them financially in the event.
