Country Music Hall of Fame
with special guest speaker:
NAOMI JUDD

The American Liver Foundation, Mid-South Chapter would like to thank Naomi Judd, the Country Music Hall of Fame, volunteers, sponsors, chefs/restaurants and all who donated auction items and/or services to make this event a success.

A profit of $41,000 was raised as a result of your commitment to our mission. The American Liver Foundation (ALF) is the nation’s leading non-profit organization for promoting liver health and disease prevention. We provide research, education, and advocacy for those affected by liver-related diseases, including hepatitis. Our own Dr. Lynette Gillis, Monroe Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital, received the ALF 2006 Scholar’s Award and will be receiving $225,000 for research in Nashville over the next three years.

The Flavors of Nashville event was a diner’s delight and a shopper’s dream. The guests were greeted by beautiful music provided by harpist Melodie Moore and entertained during the reception by Charles Walker and Friends with their sensational jazz music.

Each of the 14 chefs created a delicious five course meal as they entertained guests with their culinary skills and fabulous presentations. Every guest left their table feeling like royalty.

Auction items ranged from exciting trips to New York to attend the premiere of Ashley Judd’s new documentary on AIDS, a dinner for ten with Naomi prepared by Chair Chef Tyler Brown from the Capitol Grille, an autographed guitar played by Wynona Judd and her own autographed black leather Harley Davidson jacket to spa days, gift certificates, a hot air balloon ride and much more!

Thanks to our presenting sponsors, The City Paper and the Big 98-WSIX Clear Channel Radio Station, for their participation in making this event successful.

Thanks to each of the following restaurants and chefs:

Thank you to Naomi Judd, Julie Damon and Paul Schommer for sharing personal stories of how liver disease affects patients and family.

Anticipation is already building for Flavors of Nashville 2007! We look forward to seeing everyone next year. Please continue to visit this website for upcoming information.
